The compressor is a high-speed rotating machine. It uses lubricating oil to inject into the bearing to form liquid friction between the journal and the bearing bush, and at the same time, it takes away the heat generated by the friction in the bearing. In addition, in order to ensure the stable operation of the high-speed gear of the speed increaser, there must be enough lubricating oil for forced circulation lubrication.

If the oil pressure is too low, the flow capacity of the lubricating oil after overcoming the resistance of the oil system will be reduced, the amount of lubricating oil will be reduced, the heat generated in the bearing will not be taken away completely, and the temperature of the bearing and oil will be increased.

At the same time, the establishment of the oil film in the bearing also needs a certain amount of oil pressure to supply oil, otherwise the oil film is easy to be damaged, resulting in the accident of bearing grinding and burning.

In some compressors, a certain pressure of lubricating oil also leads to the hydraulic axial displacement safety device and constant pressure anti flying device, which plays a control and protection role for the compressor. Its oil pressure is also required to be within a certain range. If it is too high or too low, it will cause misoperation and affect the safe operation of the machine.

The normal lubricating oil pressure is generally controlled at 0.1-0.15mpa (gauge pressure). When the oil pressure is lower than 0.06mpa (gauge pressure), an audible and visual alarm signal will be sent out, and the auxiliary oil pump will be started automatically. When the oil pressure continues to drop to 0.05Mpa (gauge pressure), it will stop automatically.

The causes and troubleshooting measures of oil pressure drop are as follows:

1) Gear oil pump clearance is too large. It needs to be adjusted again as required;

2) The oil pipe breaks or the coupling flange leaks. Replace the oil pipe or flange;

3) The oil filter is blocked. Wash carefully;

4) There is not enough oil in the tank. Add new oil;

In a word, it should be dealt with in time according to different situations.
